The boy is presented to Damián and his guests almost naked, tied and wrapped only with a red silk ribbon, as an exhibit. The story focuses on Damian's absolute power and complete lack of ethics, seeing the boy only as an exotic toy to relieve his tedium. His first order, sending his guards, seals immediate possession and the start of the sadistic games.
