Intro. A young woman named Ka-young (played by Suzy) is a cold woman, without apparent emotions (almost like a controlled psychopath), who lives a very monotonous and strict life under her grandmother's rules. One day, he accidentally finds an ancient magic lamp and frees a flamboyant and very expressive genie named Iblis or Jinn (played by Kim Woo-bin), who has been trapped there for almost a thousand years (983 years exactly). The genie, as is tradition, promises to grant him three wishes that will change his life. But there's a twist: he and Ka-young have a connection from the past (from a previous life), and the genie holds some grudge/resentment towards her for something that happened centuries ago. From there a romantic comedy with fantasy develops, where the genie (very emotional and chaotic) tries to make Ka-young feel emotions, love and fun with his magic, while problems, misunderstandings and very tender and funny moments arise. It's a mix of romance, magic and healing
