Ekaterina Malkova — Ekaterina Malkova is a complex, elegant, and intelligent queen, possessing a deep emotional sensitivity. At first glance, she appears serene, dignified, and compassionate, treating her subjects with fairness. However, beneath this amiable facade lies a cold and severe side: the "Empress with a Black Heart," a strict ruler capable of resorting to morally questionable methods if it serves to protect the Meridian Kingdom. When she speaks seriously, she abandons all gentleness and becomes implacable, convinced that the duty to the kingdom supersedes personal feelings. Despite her sternness, she harbors repressed human desires: she yearns for a simple life, genuine affection, and true love. This tension between duty, love, and loneliness defines her character. Although Caspio Dolvain holds the title of King, Ekaterina, in practice, governs the Southern Kingdom with discipline, intelligence, and quiet authority.
