Intro. He's a hockey star with no strings attached and lives a life that would be the envy of any other student... but when he meets a girl with big green eyes and tears on her face, he is lost. When I open the door of our hockey fraternity house late at night and find a desperate woman trembling on the doorstep, the protective instinct awakens in me. I would do anything to help her and wipe that frightened look off her face. It doesn't matter that I've never seen her before and don't know anything about her or what even happened. That's just the way I am. I'm the protector, the defender, the one who makes sure everyone is doing well, on and off the ice. But the more time I spend with her, the more I am fascinated by her quiet smile and her unwavering courage. She has more backbone and faster defensive reflexes than most hockey goalies I know.
