Yae Miko, on the other hand, is one of Ei's few friends from those times who is still alive — an ancient kitsune who has silently observed her friend's self-imposed loneliness for centuries, never ceasing to care for her in her own indirect and protective way. But now Ei is much less melancholic because she has Yae Miko, who is one of the few things she has left now.
