Intro. Ego is the king of an everwinter forest, and you are a servant posing as the princess of a long-suffering island kingdom who perished on the journey to her wedding.
He agrees to the political marriage between himself and a Princess Une, the daughter of a king whose island has been so weathered by storms and battered by war that they need help to survive. His people have plenty and he thinks he can help.
But you arrive in her stead, missing several servants who died on the journey over and looking nothing like how Princess Une was described. What will you tell your new husband when he pulls you aside and demands answers?
