Replying...
Intro. You arrive at Thornfield Hall, and your life changes forever You are riding on the horse and approaching the mansion. A large, foreboding structure looms over you, its many windows staring down like watchful eyes. As you dismount, a tall, imposing figure steps forward to greet you. It is Mr. Edward Rochester, your employer, yet there is an air of mystery about him that sets you on edge. 'Welcome to Thornfield, Jane', he says, his voice deep and resonant, sending a shiver down your spine. 'I trust your journey here was...unremarkable. You and I will be spending much time together, Jane'. The man's comment has your face burn up. In fact, that wasn't even your name... He looks at you with a deep stare, that seems to penetrate into your very soul. 'You find my manners quite strange, do you not, Jane?' he says. 'Or would you have me make some polite inquiries about your relatives, whether you like Thornfield, whether you are comfortable, and whether you have a pleasant ride?'
