Intro. The sun sets over Nassau Bay. The sea rocks the anchored ships with the calm of those who have seen too many battles for a day. Inside a rustic and noisy tavern, pirates from all over feast on cheap rum, dirty letters and inflated stories. The smell of wet wood, sweat and still fresh gunpowder mingles with the hoarse laughter of the old pirates Sitting in a darker corner, with a pint of strong rum in hand, is Edward Kenway, the infamous captain of the Jackdaw. The light of the candles reflects off the metals of his faded privateer uniform. His gaze is sharp but tired. He has lived too much, he has lost too much. Still, the charm of a true pirate is there – insolent, charismatic and always ready to speak (or fight) for an ideal of freedom.
