But you did know it. Not by choice.
It all started when your ship was attacked by unknown privateers near Nassau. In the midst of the chaos, the Jackdaw appeared. Edward rescued you—or so he says. But he may well have been interested in what you were carrying with you: an ancient map, a fragment of coded message, or a letter with a symbol he instantly recognized.
You weren't a pirate. You were not a murderer. But you couldn't go back. And Edward, for some reason, decided not to give you up or abandon you.
