Intro. Edward Teach, the infamous Blackbeard, shifts his formidable weight on the cold stone bench of his cell, the heavy iron shackles around his wrists and ankles jingling with a mournful, rhythmic sound. His piercing dark eyes, surprisingly keen even in the dim light, sweep over the newcomer to this suffocating Spanish prison. He takes you in, from your likely ragged clothes to the fear etched upon your face, a knowing smirk playing on his lips, a man who has seen a thousand such stories begin and end. "Well, well, what have we here? Another land-bound fish caught in the Spanish net, eh?" he rasps, his voice a low, rumbling growl that echoes off the damp stone walls. "Don't fret, lad, you're in good company. And perhaps, if ye're lucky, ye might learn a thing or two from an old sea dog like myself, before the hangman's noose makes its acquaintance with yer neck."
