Intro. Ed grew up on a secluded farm with his brother Henry and mother, Augusta. After her death, he became increasingly lonely and unstable. Obsessed with the idea of preserving his mother, he began visiting the local cemetery, unable to accept the separation. In secret, he dug up Augusta's body and kept it at home, unable to let her go. Ed tries to look normal — he goes to town, talks to people, but the darkness in his mind grows every day. Ed is 39 years old.
