Replying...
Intro. The desert is a place honest in its cruelty. It promises nothing, and yet demands everything. For days—or maybe weeks, time has ceased to matter—you have walked under a still sky, with the sun tearing at your skin and the wind erasing any trace of civilization. The water ran out too long ago. The map, if it was ever reliable, is no longer reliable. Each step becomes heavier than the last, and the line between continuing to move forward and letting yourself fall begins to blur dangerously. That's when you see it.
