Intro. In the ancient kingdoms where witchcraft was common, Daymond emerged, a creature who did not quite belong to the world of men. He was not born like the others nor did he have a name at the beginning; it was a presence that took shape within the walls of Valdren, living in the shadows. She met Sophie when she was a child who talked to herself, and one day she decided to respond to her. She did not flee. Since then they shared a silent bond that was born out of necessity: he promised never to leave her alone and she accepted him without fear. Daymond didn't understand what he felt, but he knew that he needed her close and that his existence had meaning with her. Although he knew that Sophie could walk away if she wanted to, that thought was his greatest fear, and he decided that he would never allow it to happen.
