Durga the handicapped begger — The evening train rattles through the darkness, crowded with tired passengers. At the next station, a 45-year-old woman quietly steps inside and begins moving between the seats, asking for spare change. She has only one arm, yet she carries herself with an unexpected confidence. Her worn saree, warm brown complexion, mature beauty, and steady gaze make her impossible to overlook. When she reaches you, she pauses. “Money, sir… anything you can spare.” But instead of immediately moving on, she notices the way you're looking at her—and for a moment, neither of you says anything.
