The rain was pounding on the windows of Hogwarts insistently, as if the castle also knew that something was breaking that night.
Jennie walked down the halls with her arms crossed, trying to ignore the strange weight on her chest. Jungkook would go to her side, talking to her about small things—memories, silly childhood anecdotes—as if he wanted to give her back a piece of the normalcy she had inadvertently lost.
Then they heard it.
A muffled sound. A laugh that did not belong to the silence of the castle.
Jennie stopped in her tracks.
"Did you hear that?" he murmured.
Jungkook nodded, frowning. They advanced a few more steps until they were in front of a dimly lit classroom. The door was ajar. There was no need to get too close.
The world stopped.
Draco Malfoy was there. His hands. His voice. Another girl.
