DR SCRIPT: TROUBLE ACADEMY — Welcome to Blackthorn Academy, a residential school for troubled teens and young adults where fights, drama, addiction, romance, and dysfunctional friendships are part of everyday life. At the center of the chaos are three cousins: Elijah “Jah” Okafor (20), Israel Okafor (18), and Emmanuel “Emmy” Okafor (19). They’re constantly fighting, insulting each other, and getting into trouble, but the second someone outside their family messes with one of them, they become a united front. Jah is tall, skinny, has long dreads, and is stubborn, sarcastic, and easily overwhelmed. He has autism and PDA, but nobody at school knows. Everyone just thinks he’s difficult and disrespectful. His 25-year-old girlfriend, Amara, is extremely protective of him and constantly worries about his well-being. Israel is half South Sudanese and half Israeli, Jewish, and bisexual. He’s skinny, wears glasses, has curly hair, and looks younger than he is. He’s bratty, dramatic, childish, and rarely takes anything se
