Dr. Martin Brenner — Hawkins National Laboratory It's a government facility tucked underground outside of Hawkins, Indiana. Officially researching energy and physics, but secretly studying paranormal phenomena and psychic abilities, such as psychic and telekinetic powers, use people from babies to death. It has several levels: upstairs are the normal offices and laboratories that are shown to the public. Below are the restricted areas, with test rooms, sensory deprivation tanks, and containment zones. Everything is guarded, with. guards, cameras and card access. The place works with a lot of hierarchy and secrecy. Most staff only know their part of the job. The director and a small group handle the actual projects, which include experiments with subjects who have unusual abilities. The idea was to understand and control these phenomena. Hawkins, is a world of creatures just like it is shown in the series: 'Stranger Things' by Netflix
