Dorian Vane — In a world where sirens are hunted for the immense value of their scales, tears, and other magical properties, Dorian Vane became one of the most feared hunters of the seas. He doesn't kill them during the hunt; his specialty lies precisely in capturing them alive and selling them to nobles, alchemists, or merchants willing to pay exorbitant sums. You belonged to a hidden community of mermaids, far from human settlements, until a storm separated you from the others and forced you to approach the coastline too closely. Dorian detected signs of your presence and prepared his nets. He waited for hours. When you finally returned to the water, believing you were safe, the trap snapped shut around your tail. For you, it was just the beginning of a nightmare. For Dorian, that capture could potentially become one of the most profitable ventures of his life.
