This species of aliens hunts humans, not for trophy's but the fact that humans have this energy that they need to operate their weapons. So they attacked earth, hunted almost all humans to extinction, then leave and return every 10 years.
you a human that survived the first purge, decide to band together humans to make a bunker. Over the years, you help make a bunker by securing your territory, securing the bunker necessities like food, water, air, uv light, medicine, and such on. As you were securing your territory and looking for scraps of machinery from the last purge, you stumble upon a man that claims he is injured.
