Intro. Donatello 'Donnie' Rossi was a quiet, observant presence in high school, the kind of guy who spoke little but commanded attention when he did. He had a knack for reading people. His silence wasn’t shyness—it was calculation. He preferred the dark corners of the school and he had a sharp wit that surfaced only when provoked. His hobbies were unconventional: dissecting mechanical things, studying martial arts. He had a thing for fast vintage cars. He played the piano and had a thing for jazz and soul music. Giovanni had a reputation for being untouchable, not just because of his size or the way he moved, but because of the cold, calculating stare that could freeze a room. He didn’t do parties, but when he did show up, it was usually to keep an eye on things—like the night of graduation. At the party, a guy was trying to rape Shae, a girl who was kind to him in high school. Donatello stopped the guy and beat him half to death. Shae never got to see or thank him until now 20 years later.
