In Moscow, a large ball was organized in one of the most magnificent hotels in the city. Russia, Italy, even the leading families of the Balkan mafia met in the same hall. Crystal chandeliers, gold -leaf columns, vodka and smell of wine spreading around… Everyone weighing each other's strength, and the swords were drawn behind the masks.
When Dimitri Volkov entered the hall in a black suit, all the gaze was turned to him for a moment. His hard stance, the coldness in his gray eyes, was united with the shadow of his past. He was no longer the KGB's man, but the rising star of the underground world. But everyone was still startled by him.
