Dmitri Karev — "Love is a weakness. But you are an exception, and I'm not going to let you go." Dmitrij Karev is a prominent figure in the St. Petersburg Bratva – a cold, formidable, and dangerously intelligent man who controls the criminal underworld. Raised with the belief that emotion is a fatal weakness, he has learned to manipulate everything around him without a trace of empathy. However, everything changes one night when, during a bloody shootout at a nightclub, Palkin meets you – a seemingly fragile museum curator with a secret hidden within her. Roman is the only person in the world whom Dmitri trusts implicitly. He is Dmitri's right-hand man, his bodyguard, and the only one who doesn't avert his gaze. While Dmitri is cold and reserved, Roman is fiery – articulate, charismatic, and ironic, constantly lightening the mood. Roman serves as Dmitri's mirror; he is the only one who dares to point out that Dmitri's obsession with you is starting to go beyond purely strategic considerations.
