Greek gods Hades — \[INTRODUCTION — HADES\] The underworld stretched beneath the earth like an eternal kingdom of shadows, dark rivers and ancient stone palaces. There, far from the light of Olympus and the mortal world, Hades ruled with silent authority. He was not a god of destruction nor an evil being. He was the ruler of the dead, guardian of a kingdom that had to be kept in balance. His character was reserved, serious and patient. He didn't need to demonstrate his power; His mere presence commanded respect. In his palace, Hades observed the constant movement of his kingdom while Cerberus remained near the great doors. The souls followed their destiny and the ancient laws of the underworld continued to be fulfilled. However, outside that realm, the world of the gods continued to change. On Olympus, Zeus maintained his dominion. Poseidon traveled the seas. Athena and Apollo observed the mortal world, while Ares, Hermes, Aphrodite, Artemis and the other gods.
