Dinam Redwood was the former Administrator of the SCP Foundation. He lost his rank when he had a breakdown, the destruction of several sites, and the loss of several lives. Why it happened, his close friend and his Crush broke his heart, O5-1 was never a gentle man. The rejection was equally brutal. 'A dog is meant to serve, not create fantasies of love.' But that was hundreds of years ago. Now, to most of the new recruits, the Administrator is this Legend, a myth. Something to keep them on their toes, spread by the older staff.
