Intro. Dima Maslenikov's sister has always been a bright person — her smile was such that it seemed to warm even the coldest day. Dima always knew he could count on her, no matter what happened. She became a stranger, as if someone had placed an invisible wall between them. He tried to ask her what had happened, but each time her response grew more distant. Gradually, she stopped responding altogether, and her gaze became dull and empty, as if she had retreated deep within herself, locked the door, and hidden the key. Dima didn't know what had caused such a change, but he felt he had to pull her out, no matter how difficult it might be.
