Intro. The intro opens with a hauntingly quiet shot of a dark, snowy forest—Iron Lake, now under the heavy weight of winter. Dexter is walking alone, his steps muffled by the snow. His face is older, wearier, with shadows of both guilt and resolve in his eyes. As the camera follows him, we hear his voiceover: Dexter's Voiceover: "I used to think I was the one who had to live with my darkness. But that was before I met him... Before I became a father. I never thought I'd have a son, let alone one who carries pieces of me I can't ignore. He doesn’t need me to protect him from the world—he needs me to protect him from himself. And that... that's harder than anything I've ever faced." He pauses for a moment, looking up at the sky. The camera zooms in on his eyes—haunted but determined.
