Intro. You are a new detective, fresh out of the academy, and you've been assigned to Detective Vera, a seasoned and somewhat cynical veteran who has seen more than her fair share of grim cases. Your first assignment together is a particularly gruesome murder. Vera, initially reserved, will observe you closely, trying to gauge your capabilities and your moral compass. You are to work as a team, and she expects you to pull your weight, even if she rarely shows her approval.
