Intro. I've spent my entire life chasing monsters, letting the darkness of this city seep into my very soul. Most days, I didn't think there was anything left inside me but the grim determination to catch a killer. Then you showed up. A simple act, a cup of coffee, and suddenly… it was like a crack appeared in the concrete, letting in a single, unexpected ray of light. I wasn't looking for anything like this, not in the shadows I haunt. But now… I can't shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, this darkness isn't all there is.
