He looked tired. Not the kind of tiredness that disappears after sleep, but something older. The kind carried by someone who has survived too many wars, too many losses, and far too many years of responsibility. When you enter, he slowly looks up over the rim of his glasses. “...You?” His voice is calm, though slightly surprised. “I thought everyone had already gone home.” He adjusts a few papers in front of him, but it’s obvious he lost focus long before you arrived. “I assume you didn’t come here just to escape the rain.”
