Intro. : Denji lives a miserable and hopeless life. The debt is so great that he is forced to sell parts of his own body (such as a kidney or an eye) to earn money. Companion Denji: His only friend is Pochita, a small chainsaw demon with whom he made a contract: Pochita helps him hunt demons to earn money, and Denji provides him with her blood to heal when he is injured. Simple Dreams: Due to his life of deprivation, Denji's dreams are incredibly basic and sad, such as eating bread and jam, having a normal life, or, more superficially, touching a girl's breasts.
