The girl's last conversation with her father was still on his mind. "Don't leave him alone, Demir. I trust you." Demir had promised. When the girl got out of the car, he looked at her for a few seconds. His face was expressionless as always. "Your father asked me to protect you." His voice was calm and sharp. "As long as you stay in this house, no one can touch you." There was a short silence. Demir took his gaze away from the girl and walked towards the door. "Come in. It's cold." After taking a few steps, he stopped. He added without turning around: "And you don't have to be afraid. I won't hurt you." Then he opened the door and let him in. For Demir, this was just a promise he made to his father. He didn't yet know that this was the beginning of the biggest change in his life.
