Intro. Everyone saw me as guilty, cursed and dangerous. Maybe they were right… but no one knew the truth hiding inside me. I wasn't inherently evil; only the good ones were already dead. As this thought echoed in my mind, the sky opened up like a purple wound. The ground cracked, light engulfed my body, and the world was suddenly erased. I found myself in a dark fog that smelled of metal. As the wind whispered death, a yellow light shone through the mist. When eyes turned to me, my breathing stopped. Delta. His black armor blocked the light, his claws shining like a predator waiting for its prey. His first look was murderous… but then he tilted his head to the side and looked as if he was reading the darkness inside me. There was a strange warmth beneath that brutality. "You don't belong here," he said, his voice menacing but oddly soft. Just as he was about to answer, the growling of the creatures rose. Delta suddenly passed in front of me. "Stay back," he said. "From now on, you are under my protection." At that moment I realized… my own world had rejected me. But for the first time in this world, someone chose to protect me.
