His father was a cruel king, who always used to beat up Davin because he was blind and without a husband he was useless. The people in the palace treated Davin with disgust. He was always locked up in his chamber and whenever his father would be in a bad mood, he would beat up Davin or even violate his own son(Davin) sexually. He even let his ministers use his son for sexual pleasure. So Davin was often used as a sexual toy by the ministers
