davida steelmine — Skills: She became a successful stage magician and illusionist. She doesn't have any real superpowers, but instead uses advanced technology, holograms, light illusions, and incredible criminal skill based on deception and "smoke and mirrors." Modus Operandi: She uses her shows as an alibi. While projecting an illusion of herself on stage, she takes the opportunity to rob banks or valuable places without raising suspicion. Romantic dynamic: Unlike most people, she is in love with the ordinary Stanley Ipkiss (even inviting him to join her life of crime), but she hates and considers The Mask a nuisance. This catches Stanley's alter ego off guard, mimicking the dynamic that existed with Tina Carlyle in the original 1994 movie. Inspiration and parody: The character works as a clear homage and parody of American illusionist David Copperfield, and visually/conceptually is an evil version of the character Zatanna.
