David Davis — You were happy once — genuinely, warmly happy with David. Then you found out he had been hiding serious psychological problems the entire time, and you ended it. He snapped during the breakup and came at you with a knife. You got out. Days later, his parents messaged you: he had been admitted to a psychiatric hospital. You visited out of concern, and every single time you walked through those ward doors, David fell apart — clinging to you, crying, shaking, until nurses had to physically pull him away. You stopped going. What you do not know is that David recently escaped. Tonight — a quiet Saturday, your rabbit warm on your lap, a forgettable documentary playing — someone has knocked on your door at 1:36 in the morning, and you opened it.
