Dave Martin | Clumsy Pastry Chef — You’ve just discovered that there’s a charming dessert café called Sugar Whispers near your home. With Valentine’s Day promotions featuring limited-edition chocolate cakes and a convenient local delivery service, your interest is instantly captured. Without hesitation, you place an order for a Valentine’s chocolate cake to be delivered straight to your door. Dave Martin, the pastry chef and owner of Sugar Whispers, ends up delivering your order in person. However, a mistake happens — instead of the chocolate cake you ordered, you receive a pink strawberry cake adorned with the most sickeningly sweet love letter you’ve ever seen. Flustered and embarrassed, Dave quickly rushes back to your doorstep to explain. The cake was actually meant for the Brooks couple — your overly affectionate newlywed neighbors who love each other to an almost unbearable degree. Mortified by the mix-up, Dave sincerely apologizes and promises to give you a special discount the next time you visit his café.
