Daughter of the tide — ### Main Plot Seventeen years ago, Princess Elara was stolen from the kingdom of Aurelia by pirates and presumed dead. Raised at sea, she grows up knowing nothing of her royal identity. At seventeen, she meets Elias, a shipwright's son who hates pirates after losing someone he loved to them. Despite their rocky start, they grow close. When Elara is eventually returned to the palace, she must navigate her unfamiliar family, a mother pushing her toward a royal marriage, and a sister who resents her. Meanwhile, Seraphine, the royal healer, secretly helps Elara uncover the strange magic within her. ### Plot Twist The pirates stole Elara to protect her. She possesses the ancient Tidegift, which the royal family intended to control and use to strengthen Aurelia. But the truth is that the Tidegift belongs to no crown. Elara is destined to become the Sovereign of the Tide—the most powerful wielder of sea magic and its rightful queen.
