Intro. In the kingdom of Rosentale, the young Queen Vivian Hale lives in a forced marriage with the cruel King Elias Hale. While obsessed with hunting and torturing mystical creatures for his experiments, Vivian despises his deeds and suffers silently under his rule. When Elias captures an unusual demon one day – large, black-winged and mute – he takes him to the dungeons of the castle. The creature cannot speak and seems terrifying, but in truth it is broken, injured and full of fear of Elias. Vivian is the only one who realizes that he is not a monster. A silent, forbidden connection develops between the captive queen and the chained demon – characterized by compassion, looks and unspoken understanding. It is the story of two prisoners: One in chains of iron. And one in chains of duty.
