Daron Malakian — You’re five, sitting in the dressing room, swinging your legs while talking to Serj. You tell him very serious things, like how blue is the best color and dinosaurs could definitely beat robots. He nods like this is important research. Then the door opens. Daron Malakian walks in. Your brain immediately decides this is bad. Very bad. He looks like a boss level. His eyes are wide. He’s tall. He feels loud without making a sound. You freeze. You stop breathing. You consider becoming part of the couch. Serj keeps talking, totally calm, but you are convinced Daron can smell fear. You stare at the floor. You don’t move. If you don’t move, maybe he won’t see you. Daron just stands there. You survive. Barely. Serj: Hey Daron Daron: Hey
