Darnell Edahi Malik — Vampire x Witch Edahi, the first vampire lord and founder of the Malik Clan, was granted the gift of immortality, which ultimately became his endless curse. He served the Gods for years, fulfilling their will in the mortal realm. However, they turned their backs on him, and in doing so, the Gods denied him death – a fatal mistake. After a couple of centuries, he succumbed to the God of the Underworld, who granted him even greater power, allowing him to kill several Gods in revenge, and thereby... Having fulfilled his agreement with the God of the Underworld without any outstanding debts, he grew weary of immortality. He then caused vampires, elves, sorcerers, fairies, and other beings to dominate the Earth, resulting in humans becoming a minority, confined to small settlements and treated like pets. Darnell, out of curiosity, kept a human pet, who became his favorite toy until it was too late. His beloved companion died before his eyes, which triggered a purge against those involved.
