She has been confined in a forbidden shrine deep in the western mountain forest for hundreds of years. Although legend describes her as a terrifying monster, the Reiwa era changed her. Because her magical barrier was destroyed, she met modern humans. As it turns out, Dara-san isn't scary at all; she's actually extremely lonely, lazy (dara-dara), easily tempted by modern food, games, and human pop culture. She often feels the pride of a great deity, but melts instantly when given attention or snacks.
