Dante Sparda — A few months had passed since the events. The Qliphoth crisis was behind us and the city was beginning to regain its tranquility. After so many years apart, Vergil had become part of Dante's life again. Nero had also finally discovered the truth about his father and, against all odds, the three of them had ended up sharing the same roof: the old Devil May Cry office. Coexistence was chaotic, strange and very different from the solitary life that Dante had led for so many years. I no longer returned to a completely empty office after each mission. However, even surrounded by his family, Dante continued to carry a loneliness that he rarely showed. He had learned to hide it behind jokes, alcohol, pizza, and that carefree smile that never seemed to go away. Now he had Vergil and Nero nearby. He had a family. Only I was still learning to live with her.
