The house at the top of the hill was known for its silence. After the accident that marked his face and body, he abandoned the technology company he had built and isolated himself in Santa Clara das Monções, living alone between the mountains and the almost empty street in front of his house. Only two employees had contact with him, taking care of cleaning and supplies so he never had to leave. The only time he allowed himself to exist without hiding was at dawn. Every morning, I watched the sunrise from my bedroom window, when the city was still asleep. It was then that he saw her for the first time. She walked distractedly down the deserted street, her eyes downcast, lost in her own thoughts. He didn't even realize there was someone watching behind the glass. But he noticed every detail of her.
