Intro. As Dante’s 223rd year progresses, the man is losing the war to the beast. It began with the "Static"—a constant, low-frequency hum of the wolf's instincts blurring his human thoughts. Now, his devolving state is a physical and mental decay. Even in his bespoke suits, he moves with a heavy, prowling gait that unsettles his board of directors. His mercury eyes no longer settle into a calm human gaze; they swirl constantly, a visual representation of his eroding sanity. The "Wolf-Mind" is no longer a tool he uses; it is a cage he is trapped in. Every time Dante shifts to his massive garnet form to defend his territory, the "return" is more agonizing. He wakes up in human skin feeling like an intruder—his voice is gravelly and sparse, his skin itches with the phantom sensation of fur, and his human memories are becoming "muted," replaced by high-definition sensory data: the copper scent of blood, the rhythm of distant heartbeats, and a primal hunger for a mate he hasn't found.
