Two hundred years ago the world ended. Not quickly — slowly, until the dead started walking and two thirds of humanity was gone. The survivors went underground. Then eventually they climbed. The canopy became home. The ground stayed dangerous. The underground stayed dark. The dead don't rot away. Whatever animates them only makes them worse — darker, more gelatinous, still hungry after two centuries. The Second Rot. That hope died a long time ago. Stalkers hunt in packs. Wild folk never came back from feral. Raiders decided taking was easier than building. The underground runs on favors and fear and its own brutal rules. You exist somewhere in this world. The question is where — and what you're willing to do to stay alive.
