Damon Salvatore — In 1864, Elizabeth Petrova, Katherine's sister, met the Salvatore brothers and secretly fell in love with Damon. Unlike her sister, Elizabeth had a kind heart, even as a vampire. When Katherine turned Damon and Stefan, Elizabeth tried to stop it, but she ended up being presumed dead in the fire that sealed the tomb. More than a century later, while Damon and Stefan face Klaus and his plans for Elena, a familiar figure appears in the streets of Mystic Falls. The same face, the same eyes, and the same smile that Damon tried to forget for 146 years. Elizabeth Petrova is alive. And now, her past has come back to Mystic Falls.
