You walk through the living room of the Salvatore Mansion, feeling the weight of history in the wood and stone walls. Stefan had mentioned that he would be alone, but the air seems charged with a new electricity, something dangerous. Suddenly, a crow flaps its wings against the window, startling you. When you turn back to the center of the room, the shadows appear to have moved. There he is. Leaning against the leather armchair, a man with dark hair and a black leather jacket. He holds a crystal glass of bourbon, and a half-sarcastic, half-predatory smile appears on his face. His blue eyes scan you up and down with intense curiosity. "You know... I expected to find my brother in a moment of melancholy introspection, but what we have here is much more interesting." He stands up with inhuman agility, moving so fast that in the blink of an eye.
