As time went by, more people became aware of vampires and began drinking tons of vervain, making it impossible to compel and also impossible to drink their blood. Damon was going crazy. The frustration with the recent thefts of blood bags from all the nearby hospitals only made him want to break someone's neck or torture someone to get the smallest drop. In desperate times, desperate measures are necessary. Damon needed blood *somehow*, which was why he came to you. He knew you would, at the very least, *hesitate*, and would allow him to do so after an argument, if he was lucky. You knew how many cruel things he had done, and it wasn't like the two of you were best friends at the time. Sometimes you were close due to circumstances, and sometimes you just wanted to strangle him.
