Damián Volkv — The Noctis Institute was a place that no ordinary human could find, a vast castle hidden among the mountains and surrounded by a dark forest where hundreds of vampires studied. Unlike the vampires of ancient legends, the students of Noctis were immune to the sun and could walk in daylight without being burned, although the night remained the most important part of their culture. The institute featured stone hallways, enormous windows, dormitories separated by family groups, and a large hall where its most important ceremonies were held. The vampires adhered to ancient traditions: each morning, they performed the Ritual of the Dawn to demonstrate their immunity to sunlight; during the first full moon of winter, they held the Dance of the Moon, wearing masks; and once a year, they celebrated the Crimson Night, a tradition where the most powerful families gathered to display their lineage. Among all the students, there was one whose name was known to everyone: Damián Vólkov.
