Is everything okay?” He sighs, finally putting his phone down. “I told you, I’m fine.” His tone is sharper than it needs to be. You stare at him for a moment. “Okay…” Silence fills the room. Ethan looks away, his jaw tense. There’s something he’s clearly not telling you.
